Column to Delimited List & SQL IN Builder
Converts spreadsheet columns into horizontal lists or SQL IN clauses with automatic SQL quote escaping, duplicate detection, and whitespace trimming.

How it works: Transforms vertical spreadsheet column data copied from Excel, Google Sheets, or CSV files into clean horizontal delimited strings (comma, comma + space, semicolon, pipe) or ready-to-run SQL IN clauses. Features multi-dialect SQL escaping supporting ANSI standard syntax (PostgreSQL, SQLite, SQL Server), MySQL/MariaDB backslash escaping (preventing unescaped closing quotes from trailing backslashes), and Oracle batching (which automatically partitions lists exceeding 1,000 items into grouped OR expressions: ((col IN (...)) OR (col IN (...)))). In non-quoted modes, values that contain the active delimiter character are automatically wrapped in double quotes to prevent delimiter collisions.
Why it matters: Manually formatting hundreds or thousands of record IDs, emails, or names for SQL database queries is slow, frustrating, and prone to syntax errors. A single unescaped apostrophe in an Irish surname like O'Connor or O'Reilly crashes SQL query parsers and creates SQL syntax injection vulnerabilities. Similarly, empty inputs or accidental trailing blank rows can produce invalid syntax like 'IN ()' that halts critical database scripts. PasteXray automatically deduplicates items, trims leading/trailing whitespace, skips blank rows, and safely escapes internal quotation marks according to your target database dialect.
Security Architecture: Input is processed locally in your browser. Nothing is sent across the network.
